The Indian Film Festival of Sydney 2025 proudly opens its 11th anniversary edition with the Australian premiere of Full Plate, the directorial debut of acclaimed filmmaker Tannishtha Chatterjee, produced by Ashutosh Goswami and Anup Chitnis, and starring the brilliant Kirti Kulhari alongside Sharib Hashmi, Monica Dogra, and Indraneil Sengupta.
Marking a spectacular start to this milestone year, the Opening Night will be attended by Director Tannishtha Chatterjee and Actress Kirti Kulhari , who will join audiences in celebrating cinema at its finest, along with very special guest, Actor/Producer Khushbu Sundar.

Fresh from its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival 2025, Full Plate tells the powerful story of a Muslim homemaker in Mumbai whose husband’s accident forces her to step into the workforce, sparking both her transformation and her husband’s insecurities. A moving and timely story, Full Plate brings together a stellar ensemble cast and Chatterjee’s distinct voice as a filmmaker, making it a memorable beginning to the festival.
This special screening will kick off three exciting days of films, conversations, and cultural exchange at the Indian Film Festival of Sydney 2025.
